Here it goes! Two more Orishas from the Santos Series. Hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed painting them! Acrylic, gold leaf and silver leaf. 24x36" Add Comment This July I'm in the cover of Wonderlance Magazine, a monthly publication with loads on information and great interviews, film reviews, articles and artist. My last painting is Oyá, another Orisha from the Yoruba Religion. She loves purple, red and has the lightning and fire power like her first husband Changó. Gold hair, like fire, holding the keys of the dead people. If you want an Orisha, I painte them only by commission. You can find me here laura@lauralvarez.com and I'll give you prizes! Hi everyone, this week is out Doodlezine #4 and I have this imaginary doodle on it. There are just 100 copies of the zine, so if you want one, you have to be fast! Thanks to Doodlezine for chosing one of my drawings (I know many don't make it) and good luck on your next project! Another paint in the Santos Series. This is Elegguá. Acrylic painting 24x36" Lately I've been painting in a larger format than usual. Maybe because I have a nice studio that make it easier. I'm painting the Yoruba Santos from my own point of view. They all have different attributes and specific colors, amazing histories behind each of them. Here yo have Changó, Ochun and Yemayá. 24x36" Acrylic on canvas, silver/gold leaf. Commissioned paintings available upon request. |
