There is just one Barnes and Noble store in the Bronx, and yesterday I was invited together with another artists and writers to talk about our culture, our life and show our art.
I had a blast. Friends came by, people was interested in what we had to say, and sharing our culture with others is always enriching and inspiring.
Despite I don't like to hear myself talking, and it gets worst when the interview is in English, you can't find the words, and nerves get you. Here it is one of the interviews I had during the last Bronx Heroes Comic Con 5. This is the link to Sugar Cayne website http://www.sugarcayne.com/2013/05/laura-alvarez-bronx-heroes-comic-con/
Since 2010 I've been part of this community of artists based in Spain, Léptica that try to give other artists a platform to express themselves and their obsessions.
As you all know one of my obsessions is coffee. And I couldn't resist the temptation of sending some of my illustrations for this issue.
There you have a little interview they did, and one of the illustrations.
Hope you like it!!!
