I love sushi, but I think fishes have their rights! Propagate the word!!!
Here you have my weekly contribution to Illustration Friday. It's been a while since I first started drawing the words. When I was at school I used to make a huge tittle full of flowers, fatty letters, drawings and doodles all over and then I just reserved the bottom of the page for the real work...
I love drawing the words instead of writing them. This summer my aunt gave me this nice endless accordion notebook while we were travelling around China.
She knows I love dragons and this one was perfect. Blue and gold. I started doodling it the last month of 2009, and I doodled a little bit many nights before going to bed. Today I finished it. Lost at E Minor is a website where you can find many resources for illustrators, photographers, art lovers, music, fashion, architecture, curious things and more different sections where you can get information, inspiration or just have a nice Sunday afternoon.
You can also, once in a while, find three banners with some of my illustrations. I'm in a fishy mood and I have a project in mind... let's see if I accomplish it!
ink digitally colored This are my submissions for the new project of Nobrow. One illo named People I've never met (the top one) and another named Conversations I've never had (bottom one).
Hope you like them. Ink colored in the computer. Monday we had the opening night of the brand new cultural association ART i MÉS my mother has just started in Gandia (Spain). I've done the logo and website, flyers and brochures. I really enjoyed designing the restroom's signals.
Two associations share the space: Agrupació Astronómica de la Safor and ART i MÉS so we decided to go with something related to both of them. The peaces are made of enamel on cooper by my mom. I just love them!! This week, for Illustration Friday, I've done this illo. The topic is adrift, and I know it's a peculiar way to use the word, but I'm happy with the piece.
Ink digitally colored. To continue with the 60's illo I made weeks ago, I'm posting today the Spanish 70's and 80's .
This is the Lemondays topic for this week. During the 70's Franco died, so Spain was again a democratic country. We had a brand new constitution and I was born! During the 80's I had my childhood and what I always remember is waiting for "La bola de cristal" every Saturday morning. I loved La bruja avería and Alaska with her dreadlocks and black long nails. Both drawings are ink digitally colored. Today I received my new business cards, the ones I won in the giveaway . I was nervous because I wanted to see them and it took soooo long, or at least it seemed ages ago when I designed them and ordered.
In 3 weeks we're going to be 3 months traveling and working in Spain, Finland and Colombia, so I think I'll use them a lot! And I can't help it, but I just love them! |
