Tonight! I'll be selling my stuff at The Bronx Museum during the MONSTER OF THE BRONX FINALE! Custom painted toys, Halloween books and much more!! Bronx Museum of the Arts 1040 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York 10456 From 5 to 8 p.m. An art party for grown-ups (ages 20 and over) Our final smash event of the year! A drink-and-draw (BYOB), live monster models, the hottest artists in NYC, MUSIC, VIDEOS, and even a cash prize for best monstrous costume! MONSTROUS ART BAZAAR where you can buy new original art at great pices (Just in time for the holidays) And, of course, free art supplies, snacks and admission! Hullo. This event is made possible with public funds from the Bronx Council of the Arts through the Department of Cultural Affairs' Greater New York Arts Development Funds Program
I've been doing Paint Parties for a while. Last week, a friend asked me to facilitate one for her birthday. She is very creative with her birthday parties and loves painting and crafting. I created a special painting for the event, inspired in the fall, as she requested, I designed a cute warm peacock. Even though they started a little scared, the blank canvas is very intimidating, at the end of the night everyone had a great piece of art to hang in their walls. I am always so proud!!! It is very rewarding to see how they create something from nothing.
This year I had the privilege and luck to be part of Argonaut Resins boot at NY Comic Con. I painted live several pieces and some sold already, but if you missed it you can still get some at his website see them below!!
These are the pieces I customized this year for Argonaut Resins. Mariposa and Dragonfly are already at the NYC Comic-Con and I will join on Sunday painting live some more resin toys. I can't wait to be there again! It's such a great atmosphere, the people, the costumes, art everywhere... It is a pretty cool experience. If you are going to be there on Sunday, come visit us at booth 404 at The Block. You won't be disappointed :)
My favorite time of the year is almost here and this year I am joining #inktober (in my own way) so I will be drawing one "scary" illustration a day until Halloween.
