I am super excited about the presentation of the 2026 Sing for Hope Pianos! In honor of Sing for Hope’s 25th Anniversary, they are placing 25 artist-designed Sing for Hope Pianos across the city, one for every year we’ve spent harnessing the power of the arts to create a better world. Be among the first to experience these playable works of art before they head out to inspire connection and joy in every corner of NYC. DATE: Monday, May 18th, 2026 TIME: 9 AM - 3 PM, with a special 25th-anniversary program at 12:00 PM LOCATION: Fosun Plaza, 28 Liberty Street, New York, NY Following the launch event, the Sing for Hope Pianos will be available for public play from May 18th through June 7th, 2026. Presented in partnership with the City of New York and NYC Parks, these Sing for Hope Pianos are for everyone, whether you are a virtuoso or a first-time player! After the party my piano will be located at Poe Park in The Bronx until June 7.

All eyes on you!
This piano is a reflection of what happens when you perform in front of the public. When you are an artist your work is constantly judged and criticized by the eyes of the viewer. We can't let the fear of being criticized overcome our desire of being artistic and express ourselves. Play, dance, create, sing, like no one is watching because you will give your best! I created this piano to make sure every school that was promised a piano got one. Unfortunately not all the pianos make it through their time on the streets, but it's important to find the way to still give the gift of music to the kids that deserve it and are thirsty of it. A few weeks ago we had the ribbon cutting ceremony in P186X school in The Bronx. Such a great time with those energetic and passionate kiddos :) THANK YOU SING FOR HOPE! You have an amazing organization. This is the third year I am one of the selected artists to paint a Sing For Hope Piano. It's such a great experience, that even though it is a lot of hard work and you have to invest many hours, the rewards are tremendous.
To see people approach the pianos in the street, touch them, play pianos for the first time, and hopefully spark something in them to make them find a passion, is invaluable. Stay tuned, we will be having some pop up performances and workshops in Virginia Park, where my piano will be placed from June 6 to June 25 for everyone to play and enjoy. G.I.V.E will be taking care of it while it's placed in the park. I am so thrilled that Nilka and Co are going to be in charged of it so if you want to plan some fun event around the piano, let us know! Sing For Hope is an amazing organization and if you are an artist, you should try volunteering with them, they have many opportunities! |
