![]() Back in December I was in Spain and of course I wanted to work some magic there. This mural was something I really wanted to do for a while. It is located next to a protected area called La Marjal, where many species live, and it's being endangered because the authorities want to create a glamping where it shouldn't be.

This Christmas I was back home visiting my family in Spain and I created this piece for the gate of a space shared by two organizations. Art i Mes is a cultural organization that spreads Art and love in this community through workshops, conventions, lectures, exhibitions and more. Astro Safor is an amateur astronomy organization that also works within the community to make astronomy accessible to everyone.
I created this Space Girl, combining both missions and giving them an image that will help them to be more visible when the center is closed. Leaving my mark in my hometown.
The Bronx Latin American Biennial’s main objective is to create awareness in the arts by developing an international network with Latin American artists, as well as establish the opportunity to exhibit the best of their works. The event is to motivate the creative mind and challenge the contemporary global art community. These group exhibitions, will present art as an expression of the human condition and it reflects the notions of progress, civilizations, welfare, society and culture.
The Bronx Latin American Biennial is aimed to provide education and cultural information for every one, all the events are family oriented. It’s an event that celebrates not only the richness of the Latin American art but also the diversity of our community. Some time ago I decided to create different coloring pages and just upload them for free on my website for everyone to enjoy. I remember coloring was one of my favorite thing to do as a child.
I just got some pictures of my Halloween illustrations being colored by my friend's children in Spain. Isn't it great!? This summer while I was in Spain I made this mural paintings in a private after school.
I based my work in the imaginary worlds that come from the books. In my mind books fly from cloud to cloud leaving their fantastic worlds behind, but you can't see them from where we are because they are always on top. Hope you like it. ![]()
You can have a closer look if you download it.
A week ago I was contacted to have a page in a local newspaper in my hometown in Spain. And here you have the results... in Spanish though. Some of my cyanotypes are in Rausell, a cool fancy restaurant in the heart of Gandia, an old town in Valencia.
If you are interested in visiting them, you'll enjoy Mediterranean food with a modern touch! I've been teaching a workshop about cyanotypes in Gandia, in a cool cultural association and at the same time I tried to use my negatives from my holga 120N to make cyanotypes. This are the results. Hope you like them. I'll be trying more experiments like this soon!!
Monday we had the opening night of the brand new cultural association ART i MÉS my mother has just started in Gandia (Spain). I've done the logo and website, flyers and brochures. I really enjoyed designing the restroom's signals.
Two associations share the space: Agrupació Astronómica de la Safor and ART i MÉS so we decided to go with something related to both of them. The peaces are made of enamel on cooper by my mom. I just love them!! |
