 This August I had the opportunity to present some of my work at the New York Public Library. The Secret Life of the Clouds is a project I started a while ago, based in the idea that we don't really know what happens above the clouds. I imagine birds building cities in the sky having babies and living far from the noisy humans. Hoy have until August 31st to visit the exhibition, located at the Bronx Library Center, 310 East Kingsbridge Rd, The Bronx, NY. Many visitors have passed by leaving great reviews at the heritage center. This is the third time I exhibit at the Library and it's always a great experience. The staff is always amazing. I am so glad they put all the effort in the world to keep that place alive.  Happy New Chinese Year everyone.
This year is the year of the snake, Snake Years are sixth in the cycle, following the Dragon Years, and recur every twelfth years. And today starts a new one.  Este jueves, 13 de diciembre se inaugurará la exposición "Vintage Ink Dreams" en Elche.
Es una recopilación de acuarelas basadas en tatuajes de marineros de principios de siblo vista a través del cristal de mis interpretaciones. Además de otras dos series de acuarelas, donde una nos transportará al mundo que no vemos encima de las nubes, la explicación a muchas incógnitas que mirando al cielo me planteo respecto a la vida de los pájaros. La otra son también pájaros, pero estos miran sus propios pensamientos en un reflejo de lo que a veces hacemos en esas horas de la mañana cuando te despiertas y tu cabeza no te deja volver a dormir porque tiene demasiadas cosas dando vueltas dentro de ella. I just love it. Love to go to the mail box and have about 10 of precious illos waiting patient for me to be opened and enjoyed! Hope you like them!! Watercolor on paper and ink.  All the cards are watercolor paper tanned with coffee and painted with quill. I know I'm late this time, but I beg you pardon. I love doing this activity. And soon it will be published in their magazine.  “I will possess your heart”, a song by Death Cab For Cutie, is the inspiration for the 13th issue of Carpaccio Magazine. I participated with this hand-lettering drawing and with the series of dripping hearts I made some months ago together with one of my husband's poem The Hunter In a very circular moment, her figure repeated was. the wind blew without mercy, not knowing destiny, for me, a surprise had. Not too long it took For this Hunter to be bitten His hands were swollen up His heart poisoned and defeated. Her fangs, filled with poison, words of sweetness and seduction are, poisoning a man’s soul, Her first Hunter today, she’s ready for lunch… In seconds her poison ran through my veins leaving me useless and numb, whipped by her knowledge on how to destroy a man's soul... I really felt foolish and dumb. It felt like an eternity for her poison to slowly caused an effect all of a sudden life was an excuse something I felt to regret. It looked like the end and it really was without mercy she swallowed my heart slowly delighted by the flavor of my tears as I was dragged along with my hopes and fears... But destiny, as wonderful and mysterious as it is, and beginners luck showing the way, Distracted was this predator of day and night she had a weakness... that weak spot she never thought I would find… As I escaped from this ferocious beast and the path clearer and safer was Turning on that corner of freedom Temptation with me crashed another beautiful beast for this beginner to catch...      |
