Talent is the word for this week Illustration Friday's drawing. I have the talent to draw on the train and that's how I did this!!
Happy Friday everyone!
I'm trying to finish a proposal for a residency here in NY and I'm working on a series of Doodled Monsters on InkBlots.
I think this is a great way to make your imagination fly and create wonderful characters from other worlds. Inventing stories is a great way to exercise our brains.
I'm participating in the Mystery project with @PrismacolorUS and @arthouse
What happens when you make a stranger's day?
This week's final free project in the 10 x 10 Series is a collaboration between Art House Coop and Prismacolor. The Mystery Project challenges artists to experiment with the unexpected. Every participant will received a mystery project kit, which includes a free Prismacolor Brush l Fine Art Marker in a surprise color and a secret theme to guide your work. Create a token of inspiration using the tools in your kit — it could be a drawing, a zine, a sculpture, or a collage — then install it in a public place for a stranger to discover.
My theme was "Lines have been drawn" and I left in the 6 train at the Bronx on his way to Manhattan. NYC.
Now I hope it's in a better place!
About a year ago I found this project in the cosmic world of the internet. I downloaded the template and have it around for a while.
Finally I decided to scribble while I was watching some TV a couple of nights ago and this is the result.
I sent it to The Scribble Project and it is already on their website.
I kind of like the craziness of it!!
It was really fun and it's easy to participate. Go for it!!!
In a few days, May 10th, the doodles I made for the USA National Doodle Day will be available for auction on eBay.
These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc. Network, an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).
Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington's Disease combined. Funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure.
To learn more about NF, please visit www.nfnetwork.org.
